C. N. Reddy - Director
C. N. Reddy has served as a director since the inception. He is a co-founder of Alliance Semiconductor, which until 2006, was a provider of semiconductor products and solutions, and has held various positions. Since October 2000, he has served as the Executive Vice President for Investments at Alliance, during which time he has been responsible for Alliance’s investments in private technology companies and identifying future possible technology company acquisitions for Alliance. As the executive vice President of the Investments group, Reddy managed a $240M venture fund. He also invested over $200M in semiconductor foundries that have yielded in excess of $1B in returns for Alliance. From December 1997 to October 2000, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Alliance. From May 1993 to December 1997, he served as Senior Vice-President Engineering and Operations at Alliance. From 1985 to May 1993, he served as Vice President Engineering at Alliance. From February 1985 to October 2000 he also served as Secretary of Alliance. Mr. Reddy has served as a member of the board of directors since Alliance’s inception in 1985. He was a member of the founding management team at Cypress Semiconductor. Prior to that, he held positions at Texas Instruments and National Semiconductor Corporation. Mr. Reddy is currently serves on the board of directors at public companies, Alliance Semiconductor and Cavium Networks. He currently serves on several private company boards. Mr. Reddy received an MSEE from Utah State University and is named as an inventor on more than 50 patents in the area SRAM/DRAM designs and Semiconductor systems.
Subrata Mitra - Director
Before joining Accel in 2008, Subrata was a Partner at Erasmic Venture Fund. At Accel he focuses on Technology & Internet sectors. Subrata has served on the Boards of Small-device (now a part of Digital Chocolate) and Mu Sigma; he is currently on the Boards of Perfint, Chakpak, Flipkart, Myntra and enStage. Prior to Erasmic, Subrata was MD, India, for Tavant Technologies, Inc., a US based Mortgage Solutions Company, which was acquired by privately held Ameriquest Mortgage Capital in 2004 (Ameriquest has since merged into CitiCapital). Previously, Subrata was the Founder at Firewhite, Inc., which was acquired by Ubiquio, Inc., and later merged into Mobile Planet. Subrata started his career at IBM's prestigious T.J. Watson and Santa Teresa Labs, working in the Software R&D groups. Subrata holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Delaware, and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT, Kanpur.
Shekhar Ambe - Founder, CEO, & Chief Development Officer
Shekhar Ambe brings with him 20 plus years of experience in architecture, software development and management. He was the co-founder and CTO of Sinett. Prior to Sinett, he was a founding member of Maverick Networks, a start-up company focused on enterprise networking products, which was acquired by Broadcom Corporation. Post acquisition, he led the team of architects and was responsible for the architecture of Enterprise Switching Products at Broadcom. Prior to his tenure at Maverick/Broadcom, he was a founder of ProLan Systems, a consulting firm specializing in embedded and networking systems. He has filed for over 75 patents, 70 of which are granted. Shekhar holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a master's degree in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
